Spotify Podcasts: The Goldmine of Free Information You Didn’t Know Existed

If you have a smartphone, chances are you have Spotify on there. As of June 2018, Spotify has 83 Million paying users. Sadly, I am not part of that statistic because I like their catchy ads.

If you use Spotify, you probably use it for shuffling music or creating playlists, we all do. But what if I told you that there’s a goldmine of information beneath those Top Hits and Daily Mixes the app recommends to you?

Behold, the podcast tab.

Podcasts are basically like your radios hows, minus the music parts. It’s pure talk about different topics, self-help, business management, sex, trends, and anything under the sun! Expect to learn a shitload of information, FOR FREE! A lot of podcasts dwell on very relevant topics and some even have HUGE guests on their podcasts.

Who Hosts These Podcasts?

Big publishing names like Monocle, Real Simple, The Guardian, and more have their own podcast shows! Even Tinder has a podcast about relationships! The people who host and produce these podcasts are superstars you don’t know about but SHOULD!

A lot of the content in podcasts are exclusive interviews and talk-exchanges. Some re-read old blog posts from famous blogs, which is actually pretty useful!

I personally learn so much from every episode of the podcasts I listen to (another post about which podcasts I listen to, soon!) and wondered why I didn’t start doing this sooner!

What Can I Get Out of Podcasts and When Should I Start Listening to one?

Just think of it as life hacks minus the video part, this gives you enough time to do other things while listening. That’s why I love listening to podcasts so much, they don’t take up any of your time. Instead, they compliment any “mindless” time you have. Taking a shower? Stuck in traffic? Folding your clothes? Anytime you have that doesn’t require a lot of brain power, that’s the time you listen to a podcast.

So? Whatcha waiting for? Go listen to a podcast now!
