In the corner of Cubao Expo lies UVLA, a candy shop for all things old and wonderful. It’s like stepping into a time machine with the year set to the likes of 1938 or 1954.
UVLA stands for Unique Vintage and Lost Art or in other words: a place where old souls could be happy. A majority of the items are owned by the darling lady who watches over the shop, she knows her history and the items more than anyone!
Your eyes are bombarded with bight things from the past, all of them drawing you closer as if they wanted to tell you something. It’s romantic, creepy and most of all: vintage and hipster. Can. We. Just. Appreciate. Its. Existence?
They also a variety of items from this century, items crafted by locals such as these items from Vachuca. While these items might not be old and vintage, they surely have a personality and quirk of their own!
The thing I loved the most about this place is that they sell vintage ads! Yup! For all you marketing hipsters, this is the place to be! I purchased an old Caterpillar Ad for my dad since his birthday is coming up soon!
UVLA is located at Cubao Expo and is open from Monday to Saturday from 2PM-7PM.
