It’s good to be back in Lasalle (not the one in Taft, lol. This LasalleFAR FAR FAR AWAY from the one in Taft). I’ve been to this place before when I was in Singapore and no doubt, I will be back again next time… Maybe for a class, perhaps? A girl can dream can’t she?
I’ve tried eating in Lowercase this time, the school’s cafe. Lowercase is this very industrial cafe that serves great comfort food and coffee, AKA any student’s to-go-to food. But, it’s open to everyone. Yes, not just students of Lasalle can eat here, YOU can eat here.
There’s a stage which is assume is for spoken word and performances of the students. Also, look at those crate tables!! GORGE. DREAM SCHOOL, I SWEAR.
Prices aren’t super cheap (since hawker centers prices start at SGD3-8) but it is totes worth it!The food is good! Look at how cute the menu is! The irony is they’re in a school and it’s a chalkboard! (kbye, #lamejokes)
I tried the Alfredo with chicken and Mushroom pasta and it was delectable! The sauce was buttery and smooth and don’t even get me started on the savory chicken and mushrooms! Love. Love. Love. For drinks, I needed to get a cold drink because the walk going to Lasalle is two blocks so something cold was obviously a no-brainer. The iced coffee was also a great drink! I loved how they served it in a mason jar. ugh. perfection!
LOOK AT THE GOODNESS THAT IS PASTA!!!!!
Now, if all schools had a places like this, a place to relax and refresh and release, school wouldn’t such a stressful idea. Promise that my next visit here will be to watch a performance!
See you next time, Lasalle.
