I am very excited to be back in Singapore soon and this made me go around my past photos. I stumbled about my wander to Department of Coffee in Singapore and remembered this darling litt(ered)le bookshop called Littered with Books. I have been to libraries, I’ve been to a lot bookstores but this place was one for the books (puns are fun)!
Littered Books is like a walk inside Tumblr-land. If I were to own a bookshop, I would fashion the interiors as such. The quaint little store is any bookworm’s dream space, it is playful and alive- very much like opening that storybook you had when you were a kid. Using paper crafts as their key detail in the space, Littered with Books has a homey & fun aura.
There was a particular quirkiness and passion inside this little bookstore that other stores don’t not have. The shelves are covered with tiny, creative gist-cards of the books on that shelf.
They also provide reading spaces for you to sit down and read books that interest you.
The thing that impressed me the most about this space was their Mystery Section where they laid out a murder scene on the center of the floor.
This tiny, two-floored store brought the excitement of books out of the pages in and into their space. They give you an experience in each part of the space, each step was like reading a different page of separate books entwined together perfectly. Each step in the store brings you closer to your love for books.
